OUR STORY
Till The Death of Me Records LLC was born from fire, the kind that refines purpose, not destroys it. Founded in 2013 by Jonathan A. Chambers, known to the world as J Da Prophet, the label began as more than a dream. It was a declaration: that truth and faith still have a place in music, and that real art doesn’t fade when it carries a divine message.
Growing up in Virginia, Prophet found his calling early. What started as playful rhymes in a classroom became a spiritual awakening, a way to express pain, hope, and revelation through rhythm. Influenced by the raw honesty of 2Pac and the energy of Busta Rhymes, he discovered his own lane, one where storytelling met scripture, and faith met fire. From humble beginnings, he turned that personal mission into a collective one: to build a space where artists could speak light into darkness and purpose into pain.
Today, Till The Death of Me Records stands as a movement built on conviction. It’s a home for voices that don’t just entertain but edify, artists who carry both the scars of the street and the strength of the spirit.
